Note: Jackson County's civil filing fee schedules revised November 4, 2025 place Probate (PR) cases in Schedule 2 at $278.00 and state that probate cases other than wrongful death are also charged the additional $100.00 Guardianship Advocacy Fee for a total of $378.00. The probate appearance fee is $201.00 (Schedule 1 appearance), filing a will alone is Schedule 4 ($0), estate claims run $25.00 ($150 to $500), $40.00 ($500 to $10,000), and $60.00 (over $10,000), annual accounts other than one final account are $25.00, certified letters of office are $2.00 per page after the first copy, and a probate jury demand is $137.50 (12-person). The statutory basis is the civil Schedule 2 case filing fee under 705 ILCS 105/27.1b (probate cases assigned to Schedule 2 by Illinois Supreme Court order M.R. 29741) plus the flat $100 guardianship and advocacy operations fee under 705 ILCS 105/27.3f.
