Note: Warren County's published civil case filing fee card (effective July 1, 2019) places probate, except the filing of a will, in Schedule 2 with a $256.00 filing fee, and separately lists the $100.00 guardianship and advocacy fee that 705 ILCS 105/27.3f charges on probate filings, so the all-in charge to open a decedent's estate is $356.00. The card's civil appearance fee for probate (Schedule 1) is $181.00, and depositing a will with the clerk carries no filing fee. The small estate affidavit (755 ILCS 5/25-1) is presented directly to banks and other asset holders, not filed with the court, so it has no court filing fee.
