Note: Will County's published circuit clerk fee schedule (effective July 12, 2026, updated July 13, 2026) lists probate administration of a decedent's estate or of a missing person at $414.00 (the schedule cites the statutory guardianship and advocacy operations fee, printed there as 705 ILCS 105/27.33f), other probate filings at $314.00, the civil appearance fee at $239.00, no fee to file a will (with a $60.00 fee to file a will after the estate is opened), and estate claim filing fees of $25 (claims of $150.01 to $500), $40 ($500.01 to $10,000), and $60 ($10,000.01 or more). The decedent-estate total is the civil case filing fee set by the county board under 705 ILCS 105/27.1b (probate cases are assigned to Schedule 2 by Illinois Supreme Court order M.R. 29741) plus the flat $100 guardianship and advocacy operations fee charged on decedent estate administration filings under 705 ILCS 105/27.3f. The small estate affidavit (755 ILCS 5/25-1) is presented directly to banks and other asset holders, not filed with the court, so it has no court filing fee.
