Two limits the department states, both worth carrying: the search reaches the CIRCUIT courts only, and it excludes certain case types by federal or state law or policy, 'including, but not limited to, adoption, juvenile, mental health, and cases that fall under the Violence Against Women Act', so an empty result is not proof that no case exists. Re-measured 2026-08-26: the portal answers 403 to a plain request and 200 to an ordinary browser request, which is user-agent discrimination and not an outage, so a reader in a browser reaches it normally.
