What This County Snapshot Covers

Case Search
Use the county case-search tool when you need live docket or estate-case status information. Search results may not include every probate record.
OREGON RUNS ONE STATEWIDE CASE SEARCH, NOT A PER-COUNTY DOCKET. The free Online Records Search covers every circuit court and the Tax Court, and the underlying Oregon eCourt Case Information system is the official ORS 7.020 register for those courts. Three limits matter to an executor. It returns the register of actions, NOT the documents: court filings are not available through it. It excludes whole categories by law or policy, including adoption, juvenile, mental health and cases under the Violence Against Women Act. And the Oregon Judicial Department posts outage notices on its records page and disables the search button while the service is down, so a failed search is not evidence that a case does not exist. A paid subscription tier, OJCIN OnLine, offers wider access; the free search needs no account. Appellate cases use a different system.
