Armstrong County grant-of-letters (probate) fees (probate of the will and granting letters, including real estate) are graduated on the estate value: $58 (up to $5,000), $82 ($5,001 to $10,000), $96 ($10,001 to $20,000), $112 ($20,001 to $30,000), $128 ($30,001 to $40,000), $142 ($40,001 to $50,000), $160 ($50,001 to $75,000), $176 ($75,001 to $100,000), plus $64 for each additional $100,000. A $40.25 JCS fee and a $10 records-improvement fee apply to first filings. A petition for small estate is $30, and a short certificate is $7.50. Confirm current amounts on the county fee schedule.
