Montgomery County grant-of-letters (probate) fees are graduated on the estate value: $50 (not exceeding $5,000), $75 ($5,001 to $10,000), $125 ($10,001 to $25,000), $175 ($25,001 to $50,000), $225 ($50,001 to $100,000), $325 ($100,001 to $200,000), $425 ($200,001 to $300,000), plus $150 for each additional $100,000. Commonwealth and county fees are added: Judicial Computer Project $41.25, Automated Computer Project $10, and Child Care Fund $5. A short certificate is $15.
