Rhode Island runs NO statewide probate case index. Because R.I. Gen. Laws § 8-9-9 puts jurisdiction in each of the 39 cities and towns, each municipal probate court keeps its own docket and there is no single portal to search them all. The Rhode Island Judiciary's public portal covers the Supreme, Superior, Family, District and Traffic courts and does NOT reach probate. Cranston publishes two of its own surfaces, both linked from the court page stored here: a PDF index of estates filed on or before 18 July 2024 at https://web.cranstonri.org/ClerkDocs/Probate/Probate_index_through_7-18-24.pdf (200 on 2026-08-02), and a Curia Systems public probate portal for filings from 1 July 2024 forward. The portal link on the court page is wrapped in a Mimecast url.us.m.mimecastprotect.com rewrite that resolves only to a Mimecast awareness interstitial, so it is not stored. The vendor's unwrapped portal is https://www.curiasystems.com/publicprobate/probate-search (200, title "Curia Systems Probate Public Portal"), which another Rhode Island town links directly, but that page is client-rendered and its court list could not be read, so whether it exposes Cranston specifically is unverified. Ask the probate clerk. Treat any of these as a lookup surface only, not a complete or certified probate record.
