Case Search
Use the city or town case-search tool when you need live docket or estate-case status information. Search results may not include every probate record.
RHODE ISLAND HAS NO STATEWIDE PROBATE CASE-SEARCH PORTAL, and that is a structural fact rather than a harvesting gap: the probate courts are municipal under R.I. Gen. Laws § 8-9-9 and the Rhode Island Judiciary does not operate them, so courts.ri.gov carries no probate docket. Records for an estate filed here are held by the Richmond Town Clerk's office. The town links the online index stored above; treat it as a lookup surface only, not a complete probate index and not a certified record. The town's Probate Court page links this index through a Microsoft safelinks wrapper; the unwrapped URL stored here is the one on the town's Land Evidence Records page. The host refuses HTTP/2 (403) and answers over HTTP/1.1 with a browser user-agent (200), so a plain command-line probe reports it dead when it is not.
