Case Search
Use the county case-search tool when you need live docket or estate-case status information. Search results may not include every probate record.
NEBRASKA'S CASE SEARCH IS NOT FREE ONLINE, WHICH IS UNUSUAL AND WORTH SAYING PLAINLY. Case information in JUSTICE, the statewide trial court system that holds every county court's probate cases, is free at any courthouse kiosk or law library, including the Nebraska State Library and the UNL and Creighton law libraries. Online, a single search by party name through the JUSTICE One-Time Court Case Search costs $17 and returns up to 30 records. Frequent users create a Nebraska.gov subscriber account at $100 a year, on which general searches for lists of cases are free and viewing any case's detail is $2. The subscriber search endpoint answers HTTP 401 without an account, so it is not stored as a link here. Coverage is statewide across all 93 counties and includes the register of actions and, for most filings, document images, but a search returns what has been docketed rather than a complete public record of every estate.
