Northampton County says 2025 tax bills are due September 1, 2025, and interest begins after January 5, 2026. Payment options include phone credit-card payment by calling 252-534-4461, online credit-card/debit-card/e-check payment through the county-linked payment portal, mail by check or money order to the Tax Department, and in-person or drop-box payment at the tax office. The online payment page says PayPal charges a convenience fee, digital receipts are confirmations but are not acceptable at DMV, official tax receipts can be requested from the Tax Department and mailed within three business days, and accounts may not show online payment for up to three business days. Verify estate payoff, refunds, delinquent status, payment timing, portal fees, municipal or fire-district tax routing, and whether an online balance is complete before product-facing use.
