Pitt County says property tax notices are mailed to the listed owner every July and taxes are due September 1. For 2026 taxes, payment coupons may be included with annual bills, all 2026 bills must be paid by January 5, 2027 to avoid interest and enforced collections, January 6 interest begins at 2%, and an additional 0.75% interest applies on the first day of each later month. Verify payoff, delinquency, refund, estate taxpayer, mobile-home moving permit, and payment-fee edge cases directly with the Tax Collector before product-facing use.
