Court Rules & Orders

Local Rules

  • Court hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday (Local Rule 53)
  • All filings must be 8.5" x 11" paper, 10–12 point font, blue or black ink only (Local Rule 57)
  • E-filing available 24/7 but reviewed only during business hours (Local Rule 57.1)
  • Documents must be in PDF format with typed or electronic signatures
  • No personal checks accepted — money orders, cashier's checks, and attorney business checks only
  • Estate attorney fees: 4.5% on first $100,000; 3.5% on $100,000–$400,000; 2.5% over $400,000 for ordinary services (Local Rule 71.1)
  • Guardian compensation: 3% of income/expenditures plus annual principal fee (Local Rule 73)
  • Emergency guardianship limited to 72 hours initially (Local Rule 66.03)
  • Marriage ceremonies available during business hours for $100 fee (Local Rule 50)
  • Firearms prohibited in courthouse (Local Rule 9.2)
