  • Rule 53.1: Hours 8:00 AM-4:00 PM Mon-Thu; 8:30 AM-4:00 PM Friday
  • Electronic filing permitted via facsimile, email, or electronic filing system with PDF format and electronic signatures with audit-trail capability
  • Final accounts due six months after fiduciary appointment (Loc. R. 64.5(1))
  • Judgment entries filed within 30 days of decision
  • Guardian training: six-hour fundamentals course required before or within six months of appointment; three-hour annual continuing education required
  • Background checks required for all guardians; attorneys may substitute Certificate in Good Standing
  • Attorney fees prima facie reasonable: 4% on first $75,000; 3% on next $275,000; 2% thereafter (personal property); 2% for real estate transfers without sale
  • Guardianship requires quarterly ward visits; address changes reported within 10 days
  • Guardianship required if minor net settlement exceeds $25,000
