Note: Wyoming has NO probate tax and no per-county filing fee. The clerk of district court collects $110 original filing fee plus a $40 court automation fee and a $10 indigent civil legal services fee, each "in addition to the original filing fee" (W.S. 2-2-401(a)(i), (iii), (iv)): $160 to open. A value-based fee is added when the inventory is filed (W.S. 2-2-401(a)(ii)). Do not cite the civil fee statute W.S. 5-3-206(a)(i) for probate: its $160 already includes the $40 and $10. The court may assess additional fees for particular matters (W.S. 2-2-401(c)). The Supreme Court's Rules for Fees and Costs for District Courts, Rule 6, points probate fees to W.S. 2-2-401.

Statutory form printed in W.S. 2-7-201; published once a week for 3 consecutive weeks and mailed under W.S. 2-7-205.
- Inventory
Sworn inventory due within 120 days of appointment (75 days after admission of the will where the elective share applies).
- Final Report and Accounting and Petition for Distribution
Filed under oath with the clerk and set for hearing; notice under W.S. 2-7-204 and 2-7-205.
